Qualification:
Level 3 Diploma in
Personal Training, Sports Massage Therapy and Rehabilitation, Hot and
Cold Stone Massage, Indian
Head Massage, Thai Foot Massage Diploma, Hopi Ear Candling and
Practitioner in Reiki.

Information:
In 2001 I qualified in
Swedish and sports massage therapy, through Premier Training and
Development, at the Guildford Spectrum in Surrey.
During the years along side my full time job I would practice these
treatments on people I knew and also on people who were recommended to
me through them.

Two
years ago I decided to start practising as a small business along side
my full time job, and decided to widen my cliental to people in the
West Sussex and Surrey areas. By doing this I knew I had to broaden my
skills and knowledge in other areas of holistic and complementary
therapies, in order to meet the demands of clients with different
therapy needs. I decided to take part in additional courses in Indian
Head Massage, Thai foot massage and Reiki.
I have now been running my business as a mobile massage therapist for
the past two years. I found it has been of great benefit to my clients
that I have treated, and makes it more convenient for them.

I am always
keen to make sure that I am up to date with all the current
training and developments in order to keep my skills up to date, and
I’m currently working towards a BTEC level 5 in Clinical sports and
remedial massage Therapy, which I should complete later this year.
By doing this it will
help me to make
the treatments more client friendly, and for me to provide a better
service and treatment for the clients, which will give a better outcome
for what they want to achieve from their treatment.
Through my qualifications
I am now a
Fellow of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, the Institute of
Sports and Remedial Massage Therapists and registered with the
Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.
